The ripple effect

Client: Ministry of Social Development
Services: Identity design, Art direction, Document design, Collateral design

Work completed at Ocean Design

The Ministry for Social Development were undertaking a major shift in how they funded and delivered budget services to the public. Their aim was to help build the financial capability of New Zealanders experiencing hardship through various tools and services.

The overarching identity design uses the metaphor of a ripple effect. By giving families and communities tools and resources to help themselves, we can create long-lasting impact. Helping one person, will impact their family, which in turn will impact their community and ultimately New Zealand.

Bespoke illustrations were created by Lisa Moes to highlight the diversity of those suffering financial hardship and give an approachable feel to designs.
